YOUR CONDUIT FOR SELF-EMPOWERMENT
IN THE RISING “NEW ECONOMY”
IN THE RISING “NEW ECONOMY”
You certainly heard about the power of what's called "Web 2.0" as well as how related techniques such as "Social Networking" and "Social Bookmarking" can be used to promote a website or a cause, and get possibly thousands, tens of thousand or even millions of totally legitimate and real visitors to that site or in support for that cause in a short period of time.
The team behind this blog is working hard on creating approaches to do this *very* efficiently.
In fact, we are working on creating this “whole new sets of win/win enterprises, joined by thousands or even millions, in a vast process of economic desintermediation that will create entirely new types of economic structures” the following quote is talking about.
This quote comes from Dr Annenberg, a scientist specialized in Epistemology and Systems Theory, in the lineage of the Austrian School of Economics and of the great epistemologist Ludwig Von Bertalanffy. He wrote these words in the early 80's. They have never been more actual than today, with the rise of the so-called Web 2.0 concepts and their applications. After all, we are still in the year when the two-years old start-up YouTube.com got snatched by Google.com, a company itself less than 6 years old, for $1.6 Billion. This quote is about a quite interesting and immediately self-evident concept (that is, self-evident once you get exposed to it ;), which Dr Annenberg called “The Five Rights”. These”Five Rights” definitely very much apply to anyone interested in making a living with Internet Marketing.
Please, read these words at least twice, and see how they apply to us today [Comments or clarifications were added by us in italics]:
"In the economic realm, things go a lot according to some exalted form of the golden rule for real estate: "Location, location, location". Meaning that the successful economic endeavors are usually characterized by what one could call in the Chinese style "The Five Rights". These Five Rights are simply “Doing the right thing the right way, at the right time in the right place, and with the right people.”
The secret of success, of course, being to be able to figure out what these Five Rights are.
The rise of computer-assisted communication, and of the internetworked world heralded by Minitel and the American inter-university network [that is, of what we call today the "Internet" and the WorldWide Web. Minitel was an early European form of the Net, which was very successful there in the late 70's and early 80's..], is of course going to change all the related rules completely.
Companies such as the one who is currently in the process of imposing its operating system on this nascent world [that's of course Microsoft] are going to become giant behemoths, perhaps even dwarfing small nations.
And what is "right" today will certainly not be "right" tomorrow.
But the ones who will understand this shift will find themselves riding atop the steamrollers of History, and will truly create a new world. In the process, they will leave many of the economic giants of yesterday in History's proverbial dustbins.
Sometimes, twenty years from now, we will live in a world so completely different from the world we live in today, that things would be almost unrecognizable for someone who'd fall asleep today, and wake up then.
What we see as science-fiction today will become everyday life tomorrow. Trantor, Dr [Isaac] Asimov's "Central Library" planet will by then exist. And we will live on it.
The marketplace will be different. Online sales will be commonplace. The rule, rather than the exception. Etc.
Things never seen before will happen. Billionaires in dollars may very well arise almost like mushroom, over periods of a few years, or even just a few months. And it will happen simply because some people will in some way have attuned themselves with the spirits of the time, somehow figuring out what the right time and the right place might be for a given idea; how to implement that idea in tune with the needs or fancies of the moment; and how to attract the right people to help them manifest that idea.
For the next 30 or 40 years, we will live in what historians of later ages will see as the most fundamental and far-reaching paradigm shift since what happened six to twelve thousand years ago, which ultimately created the world we live in.
In that coming internetworked world, the most stolid social barriers will crumble, even barriers as rigid as those arising from genetics and age. At the end of this process, the great economic powers of that new world will be a unified Europe, sooner or later including Russia, and then China, and then India.
The processes that will give birth to this new world might prove dangerous. There will be wars, and bloody and protracted ones too. But not the type of wars we fear since the Iron Curtain fell and cut the world in two halves. There won't be an Iron Curtain anymore, as I don't give communism as we know it more than ten years to live. [This was written in 1983, the Soviet Union crumbled in 1991, 8 years later. It remains to be seen if or when India will live up to this prediction.]
The main struggles will be economic struggles, and the people who will understand and ride atop the waves of the these new economic trends, wherever they are, of whatever age or color they might be, and equal if they live here, or in faraway places, will be the people who will replace the great industrial and banking barons of the past, unless the scions of these ruling families of old wake up, and start financing and being part of this shift, as some undoubtedly will.
I don't believe that in the history of Humankind there has ever been another such period, when the common man, if he studies the nature of these "Five Rights", as well as the rules pertaining to them, which are bound to emerge soon, and attunes himself to them and to the times, will have a greater chance to raise to the most exalted position, than during the coming years. Hegel once said that Napoleon was the spirit of the time (his time, that is, the time of the American and French Revolutions), on a horse.
And I tell you that the Bonapartes and Bernadottes of the future will ride computer networks, and change people's lives with invisible weapons, woven out of computer code, words and images.
More, these will indeed also be "Apocalyptic" times. That is, times of Revelation. Times when all that was previously hidden will come to the for. Even the most buried secrets of all: The true mechanisms of human enslavement, and the true history of our common past.
Very little of what we are told is "history" today is more than whatever the victors of a given moment wanted us to know. This won't last much longer, maybe 30 years at most. [That would be 2013.] By then, most if not all of such fantasies will have unraveled in front of our bewildered eyes. And changes even more profound are bound to happen as well, unless the powers of the past find new ways to enthrall us. Which, of course, will always remain a possibility.
But before that last struggle for the human mind, a totally new economy will arise from the world as we know it, and transform it completely. Fifty years from now, the economic system of the world will have become totally unrecognizable to the generation sociologists call "babyboomers".
Yes, the Bonapartes of the future will become kings. But in a way, shape and form that has yet to be seen. And the most remarkable with this whole process of transmutation of most of the economic rules and practices that apply to human life is that there won't just be only a handful of these new kings anymore , but many, many of them. Thousands or more, perhaps even millions. And being part of this new crop of rulers, fundamentally, is an opportunity that will be open to anyone with a brain in working condition, and a bit of attuning to these trends. It is quite clear that, in this “new economy”, collective empowerment will be found in whole new sets of win/win enterprises, joined by thousands or even millions, in a vast process of economic desintermediation that will create entirely new types of economic structures.
Truly, this is the transformative power inherent to attuning oneself with the spirits of the time, and of one's decision to participate in the discovery, field by field, niche by niche, of what these "Five Rights" might well be in the coming “new economy”.
What is so totally fascinating with this whole process is that I firmly believe that students somewhere at some small school with an “idea whose time has come” have probably more chances to win this new game than the President of General Motors has, or even the rulers and scions of the great banking families do.
Truly, what extraordinary times we live in."
[Definition for "transformative": "once acquired it shifts perception of the subject". See http://www.ericdigests.org/1999-2/adulthood.htm about the theory of "transformative learning. If you get the gist of it, what you just read is pure “transformative learning. Pure empowerment.]
Our goal, here and now, is to identify the tools allowing not only us, but anyone who wants to join us to start to benefit from “riding atop the steamrollers of History”.
To achieve this, we are in the process of forming strategic alliances with some of the most recognized experts in Internet Marketing and Web 2.0 developments, as well as some of the most promising raising stars in that field.
To give you an idea of the level of expertise of some of the people we are currently enlisting to help us figure this out, you could have a look at one of the web page directly related to the present effort: http://www.NitroWebCasts.com/g.o/Emar .
No need for you to buy anything there, unless of course you want to get their material. Just look at it. This will give you an idea about the power of Web 2.0-based Internet approaches, and how they could be used not only for you to “make money”, but also to advance important issues.
To give you a feeling of what can be found there, here is how that page starts: "Willie was challenged to use these 10 "X-Factor" tactics to generate 100,000 visitors in 6 months to a brand-new tiny niche site… but… he failed — INSTEAD he generated 1,016,240 visitors in just the past 60 days." Over 1M visitors in just 60 days....
Think of it! Think of what could be achieved for the common good by using these techniques for more than just you or someone else achieving financial independence! Of course, feel free of dreaming about how much you could make, using these approaches for the mundane goal of making a living! However, there is much more to it. Remember the text we quoted: “It is quite clear that, in this “new economy”, collective empowerment will be found in a new type of win/win enterprises, joined by thousands or even millions, in a vast process of economic desintermediation that will create entirely new types of economic structures.” Although “desintermediation” appears to be the correct form, the word is more usually written with an “i”. See http://isp.webopedia.com/TERM/D/disintermediation.html ]
To participate to such an endeavor is what we offer you here on our Blog and our Group. Plus, the beauty of these techniques is that many of them can be used at no costs whatsoever, just using time-proven grassroots approaches.
And remember, finding out which of these approaches work best at a given time and in a given situation, and telling you about it, is to a large extent what our effort is about.
